Fortnite Chat Setup

If you cannot be heard whilst playing Fortnite, but your headset’s mic is working well with other devices, see below for further instructions on how to set up.
For Xbox, PlayStation, Switch & PC Support
1. Load Fortnite and at the lobby section, navigate to the three bars on the top-right part of the screen, to access your menu.
2. Select the settings option (this should look like a gear/cog symbol) and then access your audio options by navigating to the speaker icon along the top part of the screen.
3. Voice chat option – switch this OFF and then ON again and then switch your voice chat method to push to talk then back to open mic.
Once this has been done, click apply changes and head back into the game and test that the mic is working by talking to other players and seeing whether you can be heard. The mic should be working but if it’s not, then please try exiting the game, powering down your console and then turning it back on again and going back into the game, and seeing whether this makes any difference.
