WarGroove Is Coming To PS4
Initially created for the Nintendo, as a new turn-based strategy game (a spiritual successor to Advance Wars) is coming to the PS4 and we are so excited!
The independent British Game Studio is known as; Chucklefish (that is mostly recognised for their work with the cult hit farming life simulator Stardew Valley, has been working immensely hard on getting their title on the PlayStation 4; ever since the release earlier this year on Switch and Xbox One.
And it’s great to see that all their hard work has paid off!
What is WarGroove?
WarGroove is a new turn-based strategy game where you play as one of the 12+ Commanders from 4 warring factions, each with their own distinct personalities and motivations, questioning where your allegiance lies.
Take on the World
Send your units to victory in both local and online multiplayer skirmish battles, with competitive AND co-op play, as well as complete rule customisation.
And with over 50 + hours of single-player content where you can easily create your own maps, campaigns and stories as well as share your creations with others – there is no chance that you will be bored.
Where is it in the process of being released?
While there is no official date for the title to be released on the PlayStation 4 is in its final stages of CERT – the approval system PlayStation passes all games that release on the platform through.
“The PS4 version is now in the final stages of CERT (the platform – holders approval system) and we should be able to announce the release date very soon! As always, we really appreciate your patience and support during the porting process.” – Chucklefish.
Is WarGroove going to be cross-platform?
When it comes to PS4; cross-play hasn’t always been the easiest topic for Sony, which is what may have caused the delay for WarGroove, to begin with.
“We wanted to ensure as much parity as possible between all the different platform versions of WarGroove, so the PS4 version has the exact same content as all the other versions, aside from cross-platform multiplayer which unfortunately will not be supported, Players can however still download community-made map designs and content share between platforms including PS4!”
Which is fine by us as the maps are so good!!
Will you be joining in?
