No Man’s Sky Gameplay Revealed on TV Debut
Sean Murray gave Stephen Colbert a taste of what we can expect from No Man’s Sky on Friday night, and it looks pretty special.
Viewers of The Late Show with Stephen Colbert were treated to a gameplay walkthrough by Hello Games’ Managing Director in which he demonstrated some spectacular features. Blasting his way through some space debris before landing on a planet and investigating its wildlife, Murray reminded gamers why this project has created such a stir.
No Man’s Sky has yet to be given a release date, but there is plenty to get excited about. The sheer scope of ambition is staggering -it would take a minimum of 585 billion years to visit every one of the game’s planets, and that’s spending a mere second on each.
This is a title that encourages and rewards exploration. Players will be able to leave their own unique trail of discovery across galaxies by naming the planets and creatures that they come across – provided that someone else hasn’t been there first. Every star in the sky and cliff on the horizon is a place that is reachable by in-game travel.
Available exclusively on PS4 and PC, No Man’s Sky is set to become a truly iconic game that demonstrates the awesome capability of the current hardware generation.
