Kojima’s Death Stranding Release Date has been Revealed!
It’s official! We have a release date for Death Stranding which is big news as it is the first title from director Hideo Kojima and his reformed studio after their leaving of Konami all the way back in 2015. And it looks epic, as the recent trailer release was put on PlayStation’s Twitch account – where the more viewers that watched the more hands appeared on the screen revealing more gameplay and announcements.
So how is the development of Death Stranding going?
Very very well. Surprisingly well some people may say as Kojima Productions promised photorealistic graphics, 4K Support and the same game engine as Horizon Zero Dawn, which all should take a lot of time to deliver. With speculation that the new genre game would be coming to PS5 straight away, the new release date and development process of the game has squashed all those rumours.
The Veteran Game designer and director Hideo Kojima has also clarified that Death Stranding’s development is going by quickly and in an interview with Japanese publication Dengeki, Kojima revealed that the game has already “surpassed the experiment phase.” The development team at Kojima Productions is now “feeling the response to the new gameplay.”
How long would it normally take to develop a game of this size?
Kojima has willing admitted that in the game industry overall it would; “normally take about 3 to 5 years to develop a game with everything already prepared beforehand: organization, human resources, game system, engine, tools, etc.”
However, it is clear to see already that the development team are clearly more organised as it “proceeds smoothly” with its schedule. Even Sony has turned around and stated; “We’ve never seen [someone] making [a game] with a pace as fast as this.”
What we learned from the new reveal on PlayStation’s Twitch account
If you was there on the stream, you would have noticed that Kojima’s team covered the screen with black goo that would only reveal gameplay footage and an introduction to the game’s central characters when more people tuned into the stream, and if you stayed tuned in till the end then you would have seen the full trailer reveal.
The main point was that the release date was released – and you are in luck PlayStation fans as this exclusive comes to the PS4 on November the 8th 2019.
