DRIVECLUB now available to download on next-gen consoles

DRIVECLUB is now available to download for free on PS4 if you are a PS Plus member. The delayed release has been a result of precautionary measures set by the developers to ensure the quality of the gamer experience was not affected.

Evolution Studios have announced that although players can play the game online, it will be a staggered integration to facilitate the process, and ensure the servers do not get overloaded. They have stated that due to the games ever growing social connections across clubs, challenges, multiplayer and thousands of leader boards, it can have a demanding effect on the games connectivity.

The download version comes with all features and functionality of the retail release but only includes a single location (India) and 15 cars. However, PlayStation Plus members can also upgrade to the full version for a discounted fee.

On the back of the DRIVECLUB PlayStation Plus edition will be the RPM Expansion Pack. Within the Expansion Pack, there will be an additional 5 cars and 11 events, as well as five more trophies. Players can find cars such as the 2015 Chevrolet Corvette Z06, the Dodge Challenger SRT8, the Nissan MY15 GT-R, the McLaren 570S and the Nissan 370Z Nismo.

The release of DRIVECLUB for PS Plus members has now been made available in European and North American territories.
