What to expect in the Royale Battle of a Lifetime
The world will Black Out at midnight tonight.
With the newest edition of Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 making its debut and we can’t tell you how excited we are to share with you news about the engaging and innovative Battle Royale mode, what you can expect from it and what makes it so different from every other Royale game out there at the moment.
As you are aware, Battle Royale is a very prominent feature in most successful games in 2018 – with the famous; Fortnite and PUBG proving that point.
Which is why it is no wonder that the newest Call of Duty wants a piece of the action. However, we believe that Black Ops 4 does blow the other Royale games out of the water and here’s why:
The drop off is one of the most vital parts of any game, especially Royale. Your aim should always be getting yourself in the best position and combat ready. Consequently, this is why we believe the Battle Royale mode that Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 offers is second to none.
Firstly, you need to prepare for landing in a low altitude helicopter – where you have a wingsuit on offering you much better speed, range, and control when it comes to your landing.
This feature is one of the things that make the experience exceptional. Once you have landed, kit is the next important thing that you need to do to ensure that you’re prepared for battle.
When you have dropped, you are a footrace from some pretty good loot – although, the icons are quite small in comparison to what you may be used too, you should expect to have a partial idea of what kit you’ll be looking for in the games early moments.
You should also be aware that improvisation is a key skill here, especially when you don’t get your weapon of choice from the loot you have.
Hopefully, by now you are aware that Battle Royale is really intense. And relies on much more than just being trigger happy. You need to be tactical if you want to succeed and be the last soldier standing.
Survival is imperative and at times you will feel like that’s near impossible as players are very well-camouflaged from the start, making it extremely difficult (some would say near impossible) to tell what you’re about to encounter from silhouettes alone. Which means that you will need to get accustomed to the sound of their weapons and their rate of fire. Again, proving that Black Ops 4 wants to exercise your skills and tactical way of thinking during this multiplayer mode.
Everyone is excited at the fact that vehicles will play a part in the Battle Royale mode and for good reasons too – with more means of transportation available, it genuinely does make the player feel like they have more choice from launch.
Here you have access to two Land Vehicles, which are;
The ATV – holding two people.
You also are able to use the Cargo Truck, holding five players in total.
When in the Sea you are able to use the Zodiac Inflatable Boat, and it will hold up to two players.
The Little Bird Helicopter is the biggest transportation in the game – being able to hold five players at once. But what is most interesting is the newest addition of the helicopter should generate a lot of interest from players, who haven’t really had the opportunity to experience an air vehicle before in other Battle Royale games. Resulting in objectively new territory for the genre, which we can’t wait to see how its received by you guys.
However, there may still be more to come, just as Fortnite and PUBG add more vehicles throughout – Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 could do the same thing along with new maps!
But what we believe is the most interesting aspect of Call of Duty integrating with a Battle Royale mode is the fact that it highlights just how amazingly popular it is in the gaming world. Which comes from numerous factors such as;
• The increased tension playing against others – making it faster paced.
• The social aspect of playing with other people with a common interest.
• The pressure of having only one life.
• The variety of the open world.
• How challenging and strategic it is.
• The entertaining factor of watching the gameplay.
• The feeling that you get when you win.
We strongly recommend that you try a Battle Royale game – more specifically Call of Duty: Black Ops 4, purely based on how amazing it is. We know that this is just the beginning for this genre and we can’t wait to see the developments over the next couple of years.
